SAT/ACT Prep

A prospective collegiate student-athlete CANNOT be certified to receive an athletic scholarship without a standardized test score. Students may choose to take either the SAT or the ACT. Prospects need to remember, before an NCAA university can invite you on an official visit (a visit where the university covers the costs) you must have either a SAT or an ACT score. You can’t just take the test, but you must have received a score BEFORE you can attend an official visit. Register today for one of the SAT/ACT dates below, and prepare in advance for the test. Do yourself a favor and take a test prep course and increase your chances of being certified to receive an athletic scholarship.

Scholastic Aptitude Test [SAT]

The new SAT is three hours long with 50 minutes allocated for essay. The test consists of 154 questions, divided between reading (52 questions), writing and language (44 questions), and math (58 questions). Math is tested both with and without a calculator. The testing time allows just over one minute per question. The new SAT eliminates the penalty for guessing answers that was present in the previous version of the test.

Kahn Academy offers over 4,000 questions and video lessons for students to use to help prepare for taking the SAT.
