When student-athletes register with the NCAA Eligibility Center they enter information regarding competitions other than competitions for a high school. Beginning April 1 each year, student-athletes must go back into their on-line account and request final amateurism certification. If you have participated in any additional competitions since you registered, this is the time to provide updated information to the NCAA.
Prospects will not be able to
select the “Request Final” button until they check the box and agree that all of the statements on the page have been read.
Remember prospects must have final certifications for both academics and amateurism in order to receive an athletic scholarship.
Step-by-step instructions for this process are located at this link: http://web1.ncaa.org/ECWR2/NCAA_EMS/pdf/Requesting_Final_Amateurism_Certification.pdf
